The Distress of Sleepless Hours

We crave for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

Yearning for Sweet Oblivion

The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a searing promise of rest. To drown in its shadows was to still the incessant noise of existence. The life's sharp edges blurred under the spell of its peace.

To truly crave oblivion was to ache for a passing respite from the burden of being.
